A compliance & privacy program gap analysis is an essential first step to evaluating program effectiveness and regulatory adherence. This analysis confirms that the elements of an effective compliance & privacy program are in place and that reporting is established to have the ability to assess program effectiveness. A gap analysis can also include site visits to validate HIPAA physical and administrative safeguards.
Compliance Program Effectiveness Assessments
A compliance program effectiveness assessment measures how effective the compliance program is. Using our proprietary framework, this assessment is driven by the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, and industry guidance published by federal regulators. The program effectiveness assessment includes a preliminary compliance program gap analysis.
Privacy & Regulatory Compliance Assessments
Privacy & Regulatory compliance assessments are audits against the laws, statutes and administrative rules that govern the healthcare industry, including HIPAA and state privacy law. These assessments will validate your compliance status with the requirements that are in-scope for your practice or organization.

Contract compliance assessments are audits against contractual obligations that your organization has agreed to adhere to. These assessments will validate your compliance status with the contract provisions.
Program Improvement Projects and CIA Support
Following an assessment, a report will be provided outlining opportunities for improvement with a recommended action plan. We offer comprehensive compliance program support that includes supporting completion of the action plan, as recommended, or a modified version.
